Hi all,
I recently updated to use the latest Corona 704 official build.
I created a new build of our game to submit to the Amazon appstore.
When I uploaded the APK file in the Amazon appstore developer portal,
I got the error the “The binary appears to be corrupted. Please check the binary and upload again.”
This happens when I click “Apply Amazon DRM to this binary”.
If I do not, it seems to work
Previously, I used a much older build of Corona (641) to build my game.
I used the same binary as I used when submitting to Android Marketplace, and it worked fine
when I applied Amazon DRM
Here are the exact steps to reproduce my problem
- On Corona 704
- File->Build->Amazon/Kindle
- Filled in the correct values for “Application Name”, “Version Code”, “Version Name”
- Use my Keystore file and Key Alias to build for production
- Click “Build”
- An APK file was created.
- I uploaded this APK file to Amazon Appstore Developer Portal.
This was in the “Upload Binary” section of the Application submission
When I uploaded the file, I got this error message in RED.
“The binary appears to be corrupted. Please check the binary and upload again.”
If I do not apply DRM, it seems to take it.
I was wondering if you know about this issue.
