An unknown error as occured

After going through “Building for Devices (iPhone/iPad)” and attempting the “Open for Build” option in Corona simulator for the iPad I run into a strange issue when attempting to install that application to my iPad using the iPhone Configuration Utility.

The application shows up with the name template-iPad and identifier com.anscamobile.template-iPad. In the provisioning portal I went the wildcard route and followed the suggested naming syntax com.domainname.*. When I click “install” from the iPhone Configuration Utility an “An unknown error has occurred.” box appears.

Have you guys seen this before? Works well to just simulate in the Corona Simulator. [import]uid: 8545 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 302011[/import]

Just an update…Still have no luck building on an iPad using Corona. I am able to build going through xcode using the same provisioning profile and app id using Apple’s sample apps. Pretty frustrating because even after purchasing a 2 year license I still haven’t been able to test anything I’m doing on the device…any suggestions Corona staff? What version of corona are you using? Whats the name of the application you’re trying to build?

There were a few issues in beta8 with app names that had odd chars in them (ie: ’ and ").

Is this still happening in the new release? [import]uid: 3 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 6140[/import]

I just updated to the newest build and that fixes the naming issue for the application…was using beta 8. However now when attempting to install to my ipad via organizer or the iphone configuration utility I get the following error: “The application does not have a valid signature.” Any ideas as to why I would get that and how I can fix it? Thanks for responding! [import]uid: 8545 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 6149[/import]

So still no luck deploying Corona on my iPad. I’m now using the latest Beta for the Game Edition and the old naming issues are back… template-iPad and identifier com.anscamobile.template-iPad. Even though I can successfully deploy sample apps form xcode with my appId and provisioning file…I decided to make a new one. The name i’m using is test and the app identifier that I’m using is EBHAM35QM6.com.adventure.* Has anybody seen this? [import]uid: 8545 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 6264[/import]

What’s the name of your application? Can you send me a screen shot of your build dialog (sean at anscamobile dot com). [import]uid: 3 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 6298[/import]

Thanks for the help Sean! For those of you who run into this issue…you can’t have spaces in your save file path. [import]uid: 8545 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 6371[/import]

This is fixed in the current release version of the SDK, and will be rolled into the next release of Game Edition. Sorry about the frustration. [import]uid: 3 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 6372[/import]

Wow. Can I ask you to add this tid-bit of info to your on-line manual? I would hate to have others to spend the same number of hours reloading certificates and provisioning profiles as I did. (I am using CoronaSDK Version 2.0.0 (2010.9.16.148)) [import]uid: 4623 topic_id: 2011 reply_id: 7325[/import]
