Android App Bundles

Is it possible to use the Android App Bundle upload with Corona?

I don’t know if this will come with Android 64 bit or not, but the current versions of Corona doesn’t support this.

FWIW. Apple announced a similar thing at WWDC on Monday.,

Rob

If someone is working on this thing at Corona’s end?

i think right now this is for those whose build is more than 150MB but it’s good to adopt the technology which has more chances of getting enforced on us soon from Google.

Please update us on this when there is some information.

The 64 bit builds currently create a Google Bundle (aab) that you can upload to Google (if that is what this conversation is about). Before the panic starts it also creates a .apk.

ok, so this means the newer approach can be used only if we build for 64 bit. The other thread says that 64 Bit support is not yet available for Corona sdk.

I am not sure when corona is able to finish the 64 Bit support. i am too afraid now

The thread for the 64-bit is here: https://forums.coronalabs.com/topic/74839-google-play-64-bit-requirement/

I don’t want to repeat all that discussion here. You’re going to have to use 64-bit by August 1st any way. App bundled are tied to 64-bit anyway.

Finally this is a great news. Thank you Rob
