Android Auto

Hi,

Can corona be used to build android auto apps?

Thanks

Define auto app.  Give examples and links if you can.

The real questions are:

  1. Does the target/device you are trying to install to run the correct (supported) version of android?

Android OS 4.0.3 or greater (ARMv7). Corona-built apps will not install on ARMv6 devices.

  1. Do you have a way to install the app to the device?

Android Auto as in the car system. You link your phone to an android auto compatible car head unit display and you can run android auto enabled apps on the display.

We have not tested it. We don’t know what specific requirements are required for that to work. So I would have to say that we don’t support it. That is you may find that it works, or you may need have to do a native build and include some libraries we don’t support. Our engineers are unlikely to take this on any time soon.
