Can I get a yes/no on this?
Can I build Android/Kindle apps on my Mac Book Pro (OS X Mavericks) without having to go back and forth to my PC?
If so, what are the exact steps to configure Corona, Java, and whatever else?
Thanks in advance,
David

Yes. You will need the Java JDK 1.6 (though I think 1.7 works). You will need your release keystore file (or generate a new one).
Then from the Android build screen, pick the store you are deploying too, select the keystore/keystore alias you want to use to release with and it will spit out a .apk file.
Pretty straight forward.

Great info!
Say I want to release for both (Google Play) and Kindle (Amazon) Would i need two different keystore file? Or i can use a general android
Thanks Rob

I think best practice is to use a unqiue keystore per app per store, but there are no restrictions to make you do that. You could use the same one everywhere. One thing though, some stores, once you upload the app with a keystore, you have to keep using that same keystore for updates (I think).

Great thank you. I will use a different keys then for Android and Amazon. Maybe one more before i upload my upcoming game to those stores. I have noticed that my keystore is called “mykeytore.keystore” Can I call it something else than mykeystore so i can figure out which key goes where Someting androidstore.keystore and amazonstore.keystore. If yes, where I (and at what step) should I change the name. I am confused because in the signing process it says to change the mykeystore to my app name which i did but the generated key seems to still called"mykeytore.keystore" ??
Thanks Rob.

Thanks for the quick reply Rob.
