Android Phone - micromax canvas A110 not supported?

Hi i would like a confirmation about support of this phone.

One of our user cannot install our app, i checked in the Google Developer Console and similar devices to his of micromax appears unsupported.

I am not sure why, i check the spec of the phone here:

http://www.gsmarena.com/micromax_a110_canvas_2-5088.php

It’s arm based device, so it should not be a problem.

Can anybody confirm if i made a mistake reading the specs, or if someone has an idea regarding the issue of our user?

Thanks,

I make a little up,

Any idea about where i can find documentation or detailed explanation about how a device will be supported or not?

Thanks,

Hi @sign.in,

Please see the 3rd bullet point in the “Notes” box here:

http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/androidBuild/index.html

And, follow the link to the Wiki which may help you determine which processor a device contains.

Best regards,

Brent

Hi many thanks for the links.

So now i found out that the micromax phone i was talking about is a armv7-A architecture processor.

Cortex-A9 MPCore => ARMv7-A

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ARM_microprocessor_cores

And here i would need confirmation, from the doc:

We only support Android devices that run Android 2.2 or higher with an ARMv7 processor.

So that means everything that is not strictly ARMv7 is not supported? (Including ARMv7-A ?)  Or the problem of my user come from something else?

ARMv7 and ARMv7-A should both be supported, so I’m not sure what the issue is. We’d probably need more details and learn if he’s getting an error report that we can inspect.
