Android vs IOS revenue ratio for typical game? Can you give me an idea...

Hi,

What is the current Android vs IOS revenue ratio for typical game? Just really rough. I’ve got no idea.

Background: Still trying to decide between cocos2D and corona…just want to understand roughly what the added potential with being able to deploy to android might be…

Ideally a historical graph would be great to also get a handle for the future potential in Android…interested in this too…is it picking up?

You can find various charts, graphs, articles, etc. online comparing the two things.

For me I’ve found that a paid app on Android is usually a washout, however free apps using ads to monetize (either inneractive or inMobi) have made me enough that I’d say it is still certainly worth building Android versions.

So, a gold mine? Not in my experience - but still profit. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 24682 reply_id: 100059[/import]

Android may not be a big revenue generator, but Nook and Amazon can be. [import]uid: 19626 topic_id: 24682 reply_id: 100106[/import]

here are some numbers… Selling an app at $1.99 for the first 45 days… NO marketing effort.

total units sold
Android Store 18
Amazon Store 123
Apple Store 211
Nook Store 61
