anscas view on apple vs samsung alienates androidvdevelopers

You know something here, corona isn’t doing itself any favours. As a person who owns 5 business’ I know how counterproductive it is to alienate a lot of its developers by endorsing a view on a particular platform or personal standpoint.

While it is often very commendable to makes one’s point of view public it is and has been a very crucial error in a business model.
Apple isn’t where it’s at, android isn’t either. What is, is a progressive movement in techs through both.
If ansca see android as a second class citizen then it’s days are becoming very short. Moai is just behind and the open source is the bonus.
Ansca you are good at what your doing but don’t make enemies.

Just want to clarify here-

Carlos Icaza is a co-founder of Ansca Mobile; he left the company in April and as he states very clearly here his views are his own and do not represent the views or opinions of any company he is or has been affiliated with, whether that be Ansca Mobile or his new company, Lanica.

You will also note that the link posted by two of you above goes to Appcelerator’s blog and *not* to ours - and even there it is stated that this is an opinion piece. (Albeit a very enjoyable one, in my personal opinion.)

TL;DR - Carlos Icaza doesn’t work for Ansca Mobile, (renamed Corona Labs since his departure,) he has a new company (Lanica) and his views represent *neither* of these companies as stated in the link above.

Hope this clarifies - if we ever do have an opinion as a company it would be shared on our blog, not on Appcelerator’s website  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 30346 reply_id: 121588[/import]
