Any idea when Coronium LS "Beta" will end?

Chris & Corona Labs, thank you so much for Coronium LS. I think it is an amazing tool for the Corona community!

I have been using the various versions of Coronium LS daily (locally) since release, mostly using MongoDB & playing with the Nginx config. I am very impressed with it so far, as I haven’t had any issues.

With the release for version 1.3.0-beta, I became curious, is there a rough plan for a publication ready release?

From what I can tell in the developer chat, 1.3 included a lot of back-end overhaul that they were looking for. There is still much to be done, including a front-end server page, as well as simple plugin implementation (similar to Corona in that you can easily add plugins without actually downloading anything yourself). There’s also a roadmap: http://docs.coronium.cloud/en/latest/About/Roadmap/

If you’re curious, you’re welcome to join the developer Slack as well (I can’t find the link…)

Thanks for the info. I joined the developer Slack.

Hi stevenYE,

Thank you for the kind feedback. The project is also helped along by an awesome community based effort. So kudos to those people as well.

The “release” tags are generally conservative, so a “beta” is more like a “release candidate”. The reason we are still in beta is because a large system like this needs constant refining at first, already the OS team has found little items that need to be shored up in the 1.3 release.

Could you use the system now? Sure. Will you possibly come against an unforeseen bug? Possibly. That’s a risk you’ll need to decide, also during beta its not as easy of an update path, so you could possibly get “locked” into a beta version.

Hope that makes some sense. Looking forward to seeing you in the Slack room.

Cheers.
