Any visual editor for Corona?

Hi,

I’m making a game that I need to place objects at various places, is there any visual editor that I can use that help me do that without me try to find proper positions with trial and error?

Thanks! [import]uid: 206949 topic_id: 34252 reply_id: 334252[/import]

Hi atlaswasright,

You can check levelhelper (http://www.gamedevhelper.com)

or

http://www.nerderer.com/Gumbo/

first one is very expensive as it needs other packages as well and I honestly don’t think I can get anything professional great done with the second one.

Any other choices? [import]uid: 206803 topic_id: 34252 reply_id: 136202[/import]

I know that living standards are not the same around the globe but you really think $ 25,- is ‘very expensive’ for a tool like levelhelper?

I don’t want to offend you but maybe you should try to make this software yourself and lets see if you still think $ 25,- is very expensive.

ps. and BTW it doesn’t need any other tool. [import]uid: 106768 topic_id: 34252 reply_id: 136215[/import]

It needs SpriteHelper, right? [import]uid: 206803 topic_id: 34252 reply_id: 136221[/import]

It doesn’t need SpriteHelper. But anyways, my favorite is Level Director, you can get it here: http://www.retrofitproductions.com/level-director/download/

It’s $15. And I don’t really think $25 is that expensive, it’s a one-time pay, and you’re already paying a lot for Corona SDK anyways, with Level Helper, or this Level Director that I’m recommending, you’ll speed up your game making, which will help you get more games faster and give the Corona License a better profit :stuck_out_tongue: [import]uid: 53195 topic_id: 34252 reply_id: 136229[/import]

Here’s a post on Game Dev Nation that shows how – in very few lines of code – to put together a simple graphic layout tool using Corona SDK itself.

Depending on what you’re doing it might be all you need.
