There a bunch of threads on this topic, but we can’t get pitch/yaw/roll info from the gyroscope through Corona. This forum post talks about which native iOS APIs handle these calculations, but they aren’t currently exposed through Corona.
Did anyone ever come up with a way to approximate these values without those APIs? I’ve been running around Google looking for some answers but so far what I’ve found hasn’t been all that accurate.
FWIW I created a Feature Request was made for this, but I don’t hold much hope of it garnering enough votes to be put into motion, hence this post looking for workarounds. Fingers crossed, though!
