Anyone use Flurry Anaytics still?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking into using Flurry to log items in my game and was wondering if anyone can give me some info on it as there doesn’t seem to be very much out there, even on the Flurry site itself.

I looked at the sample here on this site and it seems extremely basic. Is flurry built into Corona? From the sample it seems all you need is a line for the require, one for init.analytics and then one for each event you want to log. There doesn’t even seem to be an analytics.lua file required. Is it really this simple?

Also I looked at the demo on the Flurry site. I saw a ton of data logged such as session length, frequency, lifecycle, retention etc. Are these features all collected by default? The analytics.logevent is just to log any extra events that you want to track yourself (such as passing a level, player death etc)?

An finally, is Flurry even worth using? Thanks for any comments. [import]uid: 31262 topic_id: 20334 reply_id: 320334[/import]

I would recommend Playtomic, you can follow this thread to see why some of us stopped using flurry, and this thread for information about Playtomic.

Thanks for the reply Yobonja. Looks like Flurry has been giving unreliable data for months now. I will definitely look into Playtomic. Great timing for me as you just posted that port yesterday. [import]uid: 31262 topic_id: 20334 reply_id: 79467[/import]

I’m using Flurry & its “new users” stats match my iTunes Connect data pretty accurately so it seems to work fine for me. It seems to take a few hours for the data to be up to date but this is a guess as I can’t really know exactly when users have actually bought my app.

I’ll check out Playtomic though to see if it’s any better. [import]uid: 29384 topic_id: 20334 reply_id: 79494[/import]
