App build always crash

Hi,

i’m newbie in corona, i’m just trying to build an app copy it on my android device and run it.

I maked an simple helloworld like it :

text=display.newText("Hello World !",50,40,native.systemFont,36) text:setTextColor(0,255,0)

I build it with the jdk6, the build work fine.

I take the apk file and put a copy on my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830, with an Android 2.3.6).

I can install the apk, but when i try to launch it, the app crash, and return me an error “Sorry, sudden closure of the application, try again”.

I try it with an sample project, i have the same problem.

I don’t know what can i do for it …  someone have an idea ?

A quick Googling reveals that the Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 has a CPU based on the ARMv6 architecture.

Corona SDK requires a device based on ARMv7.

Oh … I haven’t seen that Corona needed an ARMv7 …

I cry …

Thank you for your answer ingemar.

mh …

I’m looking for buying a tablet, i want to use it for corona development tests too, but i have a question about processor.

Is it OK if i buy a samsung tablet with Exynos processor ? I know this processor use ARMv7 instruction, but i want to be sure corona game will work with it before … :slight_smile:

Someone can confirm me ?
