App Designed by my Five Year Old... Coded in Corona!

Five-Year-Old Game Designer Releases Happy Travels™ App for iOS, Android, and Kindle.

Lots of five-year-old kids play video games, but at only five years of age, Jack already made one. Working with the help of Mommy (a graphic designer) and Daddy (a coder), Jack has created Happy Travels™, an app about an adventurer who visits exotic destinations in search of treasure chests filled with loot.

Happy Travels!

That’s rather impressive…

And I thought I was blessed to have my 27 yo and 23 yo working with me on a game…

Ha ha!   I look forward to when he’s got the coding skills to go with the creativity and drawing.  The mind of a five year old is hard to capture on code sometimes…

"Daddy, I want this monster to <insert insane act of coding here>. "

“Um yeah, buddy, how bout when YOU learn to code, you can make it do that.  For now, how about we compromise on this <insert more reasonable act of coding here>.”

*chuckle*

He did an interview with a regional paper on Monday which should end up as an article this coming weekend.  The regional news channel contacted us today about setting up something with him next week.   And we got him little business cards… he’s quite the go getter handing them out to anyone with a phone.   There’s a few pics of him and his fans over on the facebook page.

He’s having a blast with it and it’s an amazing experience for him, plus good quality time for the whole family.
