App does not appear on app store?

Hi,

I will appreciate if I can get any comments opinion ect…
My app got approved and it went on sale today is called
DraggingPhysics, I was able to download it on my iphone
and ipod but to find it on search sometimes it shows up
sometimes it does not, does it take time to implement
itself to app store (keywords ect…) ? is my 1st app so im
new to this lol thanks everyone. [import]uid: 30314 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 308431[/import]

It takes a little time to show up in iTunes, like a couple hours after you receive the approval notification. [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30214[/import]

It shows up fine on my iphone and ipod but sometimes i search
again and is gone the main reason I asked is some of my family
in texas try searching it and does not come up on their searches.
But I figure if it shows up for me and sometimes it does not maybe
takes some time for keywords or app itself to truly be searchable at
all times? [import]uid: 30314 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30215[/import]

It’s probably a location thing as Apple propogates out the new data to other data centers, just like how a new website can take time to show up worldwide. You say your family is in Texas; where are you? [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30218[/import]

Ah that sounds like whats maybe going on im in Las Vegas
and majority of my family is in Houston Tx.

Btw: Jhocking I want to thank you for your help you have answer
most of my question in forums and also I used your hitTestObject
Code and works great really appreciate your help man! [import]uid: 30314 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30221[/import]

hm well that’s not all that far. I don’t know exactly what Apple is doing, sorry.

I’m glad you found my hitTestObjects function useful. I wrote it because that command is built into Flash and I use it all the time. [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30224[/import]

Update: It took few hours before it went on sale in texas and
now officially it pops up every time I do a search. So I guess
it takes maybe 24hours tops to be posted on the app store
world wide and maybe a few hours to be all over US? Mine
had less then 24hour and sold in canada and italy and US
so thats how I got these numbers. Hopefully anyone who
releases an app for first time and experience a similar
experience then maybe this thread helps you out !

The Free Version got approved last night !
DraggingPhysicsFREE

Paid Version is only 0.99 and includes many more
levels and more to come!

Thank you everyone and Corona!!! [import]uid: 30314 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30337[/import]

Umm just to tell you I downloaded your app and it is a HUGE copy of Bubble Ball and i mean HUGE. P.S. the booster makes the ball go on forever so I would make a WHOLE new app. The positive things were good like PLEASE tell me how you did the levels thing like its locked until you reach that level. Nice please help me on that? [import]uid: 44060 topic_id: 8431 reply_id: 30468[/import]

“Umm just to tell you I downloaded your app and it is a HUGE copy of
Bubble Ball and i mean HUGE.”

If your looking for help (locking levels) I dont think your comment is the best approach lol anyhow there are major differences between my game and bubble ball. I will admit a ball to a flag (point A to point B) type of game might be the most similar thing between both app. I give a lot of credits to bubble ball I downloaded it and is a great game. So many download I must say came because of the news and (14yr) old kid which is impressive. But im not here to discuss why
he got so many downloads.

Anyhow anyone is free to give there opinion and positive or negative
reviews, It was very hard for me to learn programming I had 0%
experience in programming and in less then 3months I learned
and made a game with over 20,000 lines of codes and approved
on the 1st try so Im happy for that part and I am very Thankful
to everyone who helped me in forums and Great Classes like
Director and Beebe Games. And of course Corona which is amazing.

But if your looking to program and i`m assuming you must be
somewhat new like me because your asking for help you should
know most games in the app store are similar to other apps
if I was to mention in this thread all the apps I know who are
very identical to other apps I think will be a very long thread.
My advice to you tho is if your looking for help maybe you should
approach the person differently next time

But I have helped many people out as much as I can with what I know
and you will be no different I respect peoples opinion and reviews.

Anyhow check this link out it should be very helpful to you as I
posted a (easy as possible) step by step tutorial on how to implement
what your looking for. Hope it helps and thanks for downloading my app

Good luck~

PS:The Arrow is intended to change the gravity not a boost like BubbleBall
The “how to play?” clearly explains that

First up; I haven’t seen or played the app in question but you must keep in mind that almost every game out there, in particular every physics game, has many others like it. Before Bubble Ball there were apps that were almost the exact same, too.

The guy also wrote all the code himself, it’s not like he went out and downloaded Ghosts VS Zombies and just changed the graphics, or something like that - which people do all the time.

Now, as to your levels and locking/unlocking - this tutorial explains how to do exactly that; http://techority.com/2011/04/02/how-to-save-and-load-data-in-your-app/
