I can’t really say this is the best place for this, but I can’t find a sub-forum that fits “better”.
When we finish an app and put it on the showcase (and put the badge somewhere) for App of the Week/Month. We can fill in that the App is free or provide Ansca with promo codes to download the App.
That doesn’t work very well for games that use in-app purchases, since we cannot provide promo codes for these. If our App is structured in a way that requires the user to pay to unlock “full” functionality, that forces Ansca to either pay or judge the App without trying its “full” functionality. The story is similar for Apps that rely on consumable items.
I think the best way to fix this problem is for Ansca to provide a couple device identifiers on the showcase submission page and allow us to upload an ad-hoc version for you that is pre-unlocked or gives you unlimited game money (etc etc) so that you can judge these apps in the same light as free or pay ones.
But really any solution would be fine [import]uid: 36054 topic_id: 19559 reply_id: 319559[/import]
