Hi guys,

quick question about something I might be missing:

Does Corona Simulator have the option of capturing the Phone and the App as a PNG? This would be great for creating App Preview and Images that we can use for the App Store and our Website. I know I can take a screenshot and remove the edges to extract the phone only - but would that not be something Corona Simulator should be able to do?

Hi SGS,

thanks for your quick response, but this is exactly not the answer I was looking for. What I would like to create is not just the screenshot (content only), but an image of the phone and the content that I can use for advertisement and app preview images on the app store. Images that I can use to create something like this: https://cdn.freshome.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/new-Saatchi-art-app.jpg

I know I can do this with the screenshot and copy and paste it into another image, layer the phone over the screenshot and combine the images. But the Corona Simulator has all kind of Devices in High Quality and looks great. If I can simply save this as a PNG with rounded corners from the phone and no background of my desktop - this would be awesome!

Any idea?

If you’re on mac you can take a screenshot of a window. Control shift 4 then space I think…

I (wrongly) assumed you knew how to take a screenshot…

Screenshots showing a simulated phone look real amateur on app stores… just don’t do it. 

Look at any decent app and they will NOT  have a phone surround.
