App rejected no connectivity

If I call system.openURL( URL )) then – APPLE checks my app with no connectivity Will My app be rejected because I didn’t check for Internet connection? I only open the URL to my Facebook for someone to"like" my page. My app doesn’t depend on a connection to work

Are you saying you got rejected or you think you might get rejected?

Rob

“might get rejected” Well, I just submitted my app for review again.(I pulled it out of review twice)  I just went ahead and added the code to check if there is Internet and display a message if there is no connection.

The big problem I had was “Coming soon” photos. I read that you should not have any coming soon like “Cut the Rope” ect. There should be no hint that your app is not finished,

  1. So I took out the Coming soon photos.

  2. Added the code to check the internet for connectivity before I call system.openURL()

3.) Added a link to a privacy Policy(Corona SDK Privacy Policy)

I guess its better to be safe then sorry. But this is do or die I’m not pulling it out for review again

Yea, it’s always better to be prepared.  I doubt they would reject you over the network thing.  Usually if someone is going to do an action that obviously needs network connectivity they should know if they are connected or not.   You certainly would have been rejected for having Coming Soon photos.

Good luck!

Rob

You sound so much like you’re highly skeptical about the quality of your work. Are you even sure about what you did, aside the network and coming soon photos issues?

@stephensmark43, This is the game I’ve submitted for review on the IOS App Store.

You can check out the quality of my work for yourself.

Just a reminder to keep things polite and professional.  Generally providing critique, even if it’s constructive should only be provided when the user specifically asks for it.

In this case, @burnsj002 was submitting his app to Apple which has far more stringent submission requirements and that’s what this topic is about.  It’s not about the app quality.

Lets continue discussing the submission efforts to Apple of this app  and not discuss what you think about the app unless @burnsj002 specifically asks for feedback and even then it should be in a new thread.

Thanks

Rob
