App size

Are applications compressed in the App store? [import]uid: 28912 topic_id: 30932 reply_id: 330932[/import]

Not only that, the file you submit to Apple is zipped.

Take your .ipa file, rename the extension to .zip and voila!, you can extract the .app from the zip.

The fun part is that Apple adds DRM before putting in on the store, which makes the size calculation, the size of the entire .app without the executable (compressed) + The size of the uncompressed executable + ~100 kb. [import]uid: 134101 topic_id: 30932 reply_id: 123689[/import]

they may be compressed in size…as small size helps fast work on Internet ! [import]uid: 177161 topic_id: 30932 reply_id: 123807[/import]
