App working in backend

Can any one tell how can i make my app working when my app is not open or phone is locked?

I do not believe Corona has that ability.

There’s limited functionality for apps in the background.

Some options that come to mind are:

• Setting up notifications

• Playing audio

This question comes up frequently.

While Apple supports a limited number of background modes, they are not officially supported by Corona Labs and they are a “use at your own risk” feature.  We may change how Corona SDK works in the future and those background modes are untested and not something we test for or support.   We do support local and push notifications the OS is managing those, not your app.

Android does not have these background modes.
