App Works in Android Simulator, Not on Device

My Match The Letter game, built with the previous SDK version, is currently up in the Android Marketplace, and is working fine. However, when I did a new build with the latest Corona SDK, it works in the simulator, but not on a device. Also works fine on iPhone/iPad.

It is a free, open source game. All the source is on github:
https://github.com/johnpolacek/Match-The-Letter-Game

Working version is on the marketplace at:

Any ideas about why this would be happening? [import]uid: 13838 topic_id: 8006 reply_id: 308006[/import]

I’m learning corona as well and I’m seeing black screen on my apps. It works fine on the emulator, so i figure I try other’s code. I ran into the same problem here with Match the Letter. It works great on the Simulator and from the andriod market, but I get black screen when I try to build it from the source.

Please look into this as it’s happening on my other apps as well. No idea where to debug since it’s working on the simulator and I’m new to andriod/lua.

Works on the previous stable build (247). Haven’t tried yet on any of the daily builds yet, so you might want to give that a shot. [import]uid: 13838 topic_id: 8006 reply_id: 31804[/import]

The latest drops of Corona you must have OS android 2.2 (Foryo) and above with ARM7 (NEO) chipset.

I’m using Viewsonic G Tablet with ARM Cortex-A9 processor.

Tested on both Froyo (2.2) and Gingerbread (2.3.3?).

Both of them have black screen when compiling this source:

No blackscreen from market version.

I’m using the latest corona 377. Haven’t tried older versions yet. [import]uid: 42366 topic_id: 8006 reply_id: 31851[/import]

u can’t have audio on sub folders on corona for android and even though we fixed images in subfolder and don’t know if i can do sub sub folders for images … but i just looked at the droid code and should work for images in sub sub folders.

Can I just say what a reduction to seek out somebody who really knows what theyre speaking about on the internet. You undoubtedly know the right way to bring a problem to mild and make it important. Extra people must learn this and understand this aspect of the story. I cant consider youre not more in style since you positively have the gift.
