I know it normally takes up to 7 days for a game to be reviewed/approved/etc by Apple’s review staff, but has anyone whose submitted anything within the last 2 weeks, (new apps) gotten a response by the review department?
It seems to be taken extra long on even apps submitted before they made the announcement.

During new releases and upgrades to the app store you will see delays between 7-18 days this is just kind of the norm for Apple, and is something you just get use to over time 
I remember when iOS 6 came out it was upwards of about 21 days and iOS 7 was about 14 days or so.
With new iOS releases they get flooded with reviews of people upgrading their apps to the latest build.

Thank you for answering this, I was not around in the apple development world when they last released a major iOS changer like this, so I wasn’t aware of the longer delays, but it makes tons of sense why their work load has increased at the moment.
