hey all, just a quick question…i am wondering do i need to buy apples developer license ($99) in order for me to test apps on my iDevice? i just want to test my apps on the iDevice and have no intention on uploading to the app store yet

Yes.
Before you can put an app on a device you have to have a provisioning profile and a certificate. You can only get those on the Apple iOS provisioning profile website, which you can only get to with an paid developer login.
