Apple down - does it affect you ?

As most of you probably know, Apple Dev Center is not accessible since last Thursday due to an intruder made some mess there.

Does it affect your business ?

We were developing our new game last 8 months and just as we were ready to submit it for approval, this happened :frowning:

Now eagerly awaiting to see the site live again.

Probably now the review times will go up :frowning:

You can still submit for approval… I just uploaded an update to my app yesterday.  iTunes Connect is still live, and they are still reviewing apps.

The developer site is down, so no forums, etc.  I also emailed Apple and it took about 5 days for a reply, so I believe they are handing much of the support issues through email at this time.

But I can’t create certificates, right ?

I got a message that my certificate expired when I try to install the game on the device.

Ah, yes, I guess you cannot do that.  I assumed you did that already.

I have an ad hoc distribution certificate in place for my app right now.  Can I submit to the App Store with it or do I need a specific App Store distribution certificate?  I’m stuck until the site comes up if I need a new certificate.

@drkeeling6, unfortunately, adhoc certificate wouldn’t be appropriate for releasing the app to the app store.

As I suspected. But why does the iOS Build in Corona still prompt for “Upload to App Store” then? Confusing…

Luckily I had an app waiting for review which got released throughout all this but I also had some updates and another app to be released which did not have a profile ready. The updates and fixes are fairly old apps do I need to get new profiles so I have a bit of a backlog. BUT I always have a list of things to do so simply move on to those things. everything will get done in the end. No point waiting for Apple and twiddling thumbs.

I too am affected by this, we’re getting ready for submission on Monday so fingers crossed they’re back by then!
Have they given out any information on what happened/If anything was taken?
Also, do we know when the service will be back?

I am refreshing their status site https://developer.apple.com/support/system-status/ every now and then.

Very frustrating. It is not enough to say we are mad …

It’s a real pain as a one man dev team with projects scheduled tightly I can’t test IAP’s etc   Glad I’m not launching a product though I can imagine thats a nightmare after all the work you have to put in.

It is up!

Finally…

I think Apple should extend all our dev subscription by the duration of the outage…

Its not quite up. To review any license changes, you need access to the Member center which is currently down.

If you go to status page you can click on those links which take you to those sections without needing to login to members section

I need to get to the members section to review the license agreement…

And, from any direction I take, It seems to be down :frowning:
