Apple rejection

Hi guys,

Apple rejected my game because I allowed users to watch rewarded videos (manually) after they purchase REMOVE ADS in app purchase.

My question/options are:

  1. Can I leave this functionality after re-submitting new binary with detailed information in REMOVE ADS in app purchase: "you will still be able to see rewarded ads after you purchase remove ads…"

OR

  1. I have to change this functionality so users CANNOT see any rewarded videos after they purchase REMOVE ADS in app purchase.

OR

  1. Remove Ads - delete this IAP for good.

Many, many thanks for your help!

That sounds like nonsense (on Apple’s part).  I’ve been entertaining a similar idea:

  • Monetize via forced banner, interstitial,
  • Allow user to buy IAP to turn off forced ads, but still let them support you by offering a button that launches a rewarded ad.
  1. Did they say you were violating a guideline or that the feature (disable ads) simply did not work?
  2. Did you add a note to the reviewer when you submitted explaining the concept?

Hi Ed… I think they made a mistake in review.

I have a lot of IAPs in my game and they could not find feature to remove ads on ITUNES CONNECT… so they rejected my binary… and I have to re-submit it all over again (I think this is one-way street).

I sent them apple id and product id… but I think this is one-way street (got to upload a new binary).

  1. They now said IAP is not on itunes connect (and it is - I sent them which one it is).

  2. No notes regarding that … my mistake…

Hi guys…

Next time I will write review notes more thoroughly (my mistake).

They continued with the review!

When you submit an IAP to iTunes you need to provide them screenshots of the IAP - perhaps you didn’t make it crystal clear to the idiots reviewing your app?
