Apple store 1 app per client?

Hi,

This question is for all that have multiple apps in same apple account.

Someone told me that, Apple doesn’t let anymore to upload apps, if we don’t own the company behind the product.

We have more than 10 apps from different companies all made by us. And in about a week or 2, we are going to update another one.

is it true? do i need to create another apple account to update this new app?

Anyone know anything about this?

i know it’s not directly related to Corona, but i think is important for all us that have multiple clients.

Regards,

Carlos

Apple is cracking down on people using templated apps. There are quite a few businesses that make apps for other businesses that are all basically the same app. Logos change, colors change but in the end they have the same functionality.  If your apps are different enough, you shouldn’t run into this but if you’re using the same core framework and the apps are really clones of each other, Apple may not want that.

Thanks Rob for the clarification. All our apps are different from each others.

I hope they are only after the companies as you said, but looking for Apple point of view, even our model eventually is bad for them.

All our apps are free, they cost money for Apple to maintain. Don’t know if they have a flag that is called when some company reaches X apps.

Carlos.

I doubt it.

If 1 billion people download your free app, Apple may not have made any money directly but it means 1 billion people visited the app store and some % probably saw another app and downloaded that too.

Also means that all those people are still using their Apple device, instead of switching to Android.

If it didn’t make business sense, they wouldn’t allow free apps.
