Appodeal - Weird Screen

Hi Corona Team

I’ve just started using the Appodeal plug-in in my app, and some users complain that they are getting a black screen covering 99% of the device screen. I’m pretty sure this is not because of my code (because I didn’t change anything else in this build). It has something to do with appodeal.

Furthermore, using google analytics I see that there is a questioned “Screen” showing to my users: com.applovin.adview.AppLovinInterstitialActivity

This is strange because I only serve rewarded videos in my app, not interstitial ads.

I’m confident that the black screens my users are stating are related to this Activity screen.

I cannot reproduce the black screen on my devices, but it happens to about 2% of my users (call me “uninstalls”) !

Could you please comment on this or ask Appodeal about the weird Activity screen ?

This looks like it may be an issue within the SDK. I suggest that you contact the Appodeal team directly as you will be able to answer any follow-up questions that they may have.

The best way to contact them is for you to log in to your Appodeal dashboard, and click on the round red-and-white message icon on the lower right of the screen.
