Hi Everyone,

As you all should know by now, Corona helps us in any way they can and have done a fantastic job of simplifying the development process of our mobile apps. After we developed our first two apps, we realized the next obstacle to overcome is getting noticed. Well, we’re attempting to alleviate this a little by creating AppTumble. AppTumble is an app discovery app that allows people to “Tumble” into new apps. The user chooses their favorite categories and simply clicks “Tumble” to see a new app. The algorithm behind it will show a random app that follows their interests.

The home page is a place where four apps will be displayed around the “Tumble” button. These will be advertising spots but we will have them rotate to ensure the users will continue to see new apps. The goal of these advertising spots is to allow our fellow indie developers to have a chance to show their apps to the world. We will not let a big money company come and buy all of the advertising because that would defeat the purpose of AppTumble.

There is also a featured apps page where there is a list of apps that will rotate. Everyday a new app will be added to the list. There is also a full page ad that will display every time the user opens the app. This will guarantee the ad will be viewed.

Since our roots of mobile gaming come from the Corona SDK, we would like to allow our fellow Corona developers to have the first shot at FREE advertising spots. We are offering free advertising to the first 20 developers to contact us. You may do so by either replying to this forum posting with your contact information, contact us through Twitter, or contact us through Facebook. Whichever way you choose to conctact us, please send us the link to your app in Corona’s showcase. We will then contact you and let you know what we need for ad images.

WOW! What a wonderful idea! Simply an amazing concept. I really appreciate that you decided to give back to the community. We are always looking for new ideas on marketing our apps and has you already figured out, making the app is just ONE step (one of the reason i proposed the review group a while ago)
Having said, unfortunately, I do not have an app in the Apple store yet. I am hoping to release in couple weeks (SpaceCommand, a space shooter). Not sure if it will be too late to take advantage to this generous offer but just in case here my info:

I saw your posting on the old thread. You are correct, the functionality is similar to that of Stumble Upon. Every time we go to the App Store we keep seeing the same apps over and over so we figured this is a good way for those, unknown apps to be found.
