dude you just woke this thread from more than a year of sleeping [import]uid: 80469 topic_id: 10072 reply_id: 126931[/import]
You have to understand the Android community. Most are not really going to buy a game and will usually play a free game if it’s ranked high. As Android is “open source” there’s more technical people who want to do more with their phone other than playing another ball/balloon game. I created a little networking reference app on Android and it’s selling fast. As much as they don’t admit, CoronaSDK is still biased towards iOS. I’m NOT going to renew my pro subscription here and use the Android SDK for my Android development so I can get the x100 more APIs,features/things you can do on an Android and not an iPhone. I learned that sells great on Android. [import]uid: 114389 topic_id: 10072 reply_id: 126968[/import]
well, since we are in necrothreading, it would be nice to hear of android downloads now, with the marketplace redone and all… [import]uid: 44010 topic_id: 10072 reply_id: 126977[/import]
I can’t really say anything about the Android store because I don’t have an app there, but on the App Store (the last time I looked at the big figures) I’ve had about 2000 downloads of my free game but only 100 of the paid game. That was in autumn last year, I think. Since then I’ve had a lot more free downloads but almost no paid downloads at all.
I’m putting this down to the fact that there is little difference between the two versions and am working on ideas to change this. None of this thread does anything to convince me to spend time and money putting my game on the Android Marketplace. [import]uid: 8271 topic_id: 10072 reply_id: 126979[/import]

If the free version of app is available then it will be very great as people will get a chance to try it before purchasing the application.
