Are build servers down?

Hi,

As soon as as I press build on simulator, it pops up the progress bar for a second and then says “Unknown server error occurred.”, my Internet connection is good and I don’t have problems with it.

Thanks.

It’s working for me

I finally could get one build hours ago but I’m still facing this problem again.

Hi, we’re experiencing a similar issue. With very simple builds, we’ve been able to produce an iOS application package, but with our full game, we cannot get builds relying on the network to work. Is there any possibility there’s something we’re doing wrong on our end? We always have the option to use a native build, but these always take a good deal longer than server builds, and builds from the server are easier for some of the more non-technical members of our team. It’s not a show-stopper, but we’d like to know what the root cause is.

The stack trace is: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/9a8b0296378e5e38effd , targeting version 2012.971 (2012.11.15) .

Hi @alex144,

Build 971 is quite old… the current public release is 1137. Please upgrade to this and see if it solves your issue.

Certainly it would be nice if simulator would give some info of regarding the error it encountered.

@Aidin I can not build for android either. But my error says: “build errro #5

Anyone having issues getting Plugins as well? My project usese the ZIP plugin and it stopped working today. I have noticed that I do not get the normal message to Download the plugin. Could this be something on Coronas servers end?

UPDATE: when running the device in the simulator, I get an unzip error all the time. I built to device and it works without issue. Seems like the simulator is not getting the ZIP plugin somehow.

How are supposed to report build system down errors? I dont see a place for it on the site, and the bug reporting system doesnt seem correct for this type of problem. Please advise on how CoronaLabs wants us to report these errors.

I am trying right now August 14, 2013 at 8:39 pm PST and it reports “(null)” with the yellow warning icon.

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Typically, if there is a build server downtime, it’s very short and temporary. But, if you would like to notify us, I suggest:

  1. that you post it here in the forums, where myself, Rob, or another staff member will likely see it. Also, other users can confirm if they are experiencing the same issue.

  2. send an e-mail to support [at] coronalabs [dot] com.

Hope this helps,

Brent Sorrentino
