Are Corona SDK update himself each time ?

Hello,

Are Corona SDK update himself each time, or shoud I re-download again by myself the latest build of Corona release ?

(I want to use version 2993 for the live build options, but I don’t see it on corona buid yet)

Thanks.

Corona is not self-updating. You need to explicitly download the version you want. You can generally use later versions too. If you want live builds, you do not need 2993, you need 2993 or later.

On Windows, installing a daily build will replace the version on your computer. On Mac’s daily builds are installed into /Applications/CoronaSDK-nnnn where nnnn is the daily build number. /Applications/CoronaSDK without a prefix will be an install from a public build.  It’s cool that we let you have multiple versions on Mac’s because many people like to have both the release version and a daily build at  the same time, but you have to be careful to make sure you’re running the right version.

The version 2993 or later is stable or not ?

2992 is the last fully tested version. 2993 and later are all daily builds. However we have been fixing some important things like plugin compatibility, Lua plugins vs. macOS 10.12 and so on. The latest builds have not been put through our full QA process, but they are reasonably stable.
