Is drawing of lines generally a bit slower (e.g. when I have 100s of lines), or am I doing something wrong? The FPS goes down quite a bit when I handle many lines, including alphas, even on say iPad 3…
thanks!

Hi Philipp,
How many lines are you drawing, and when does it begin to slow down? Since each line is a display object, I imagine drawing hundreds of them (200+) would cause some performance hit, unfortunately.

It’s used for a bullet trail – I’m trying to get a line to show that slowly fades, so I’m putting several lined up, also to draw curves… so there’s a lot.
I’m now thinking of doing a single image. Wouldn’t work on curves, but might be much more cpu-friendly.
Still, when I put lots of particles as images in Corona it doesn’t seem to cause such slowdowns… isn’t there a demo with 6000 fishies around? Will have to run the Corona Profiler on it, too…
