Are YOU using IAP?

Ok, sorry for the post title, but…

Having noticed this morning that Bubble Ball has just implemented in-app purchases for extra levels (and having purchased them!) I’d really like to hear from anyone who has provided this in their free games/apps - specifically with regards to the pick up rate. Of course.

For example:

For free games, does it provide a good return on investment (or even effort?)
Do you have/Did you consider having two versions of your game (paid/free) instead?
Have you noticed a purchase rate trend, such as high to begin with but tailing off quickly?
What is the information from Apple and/or the developer centre on your sales like (useful, informative?)
Are you glad you did it?
