ARN % and CRASH % on GP rising with Jan-March 2018 builds

Ok… so we released of a fleet of updates on about 14+ apps in our Corona portfolio on from Jan 2018 to now where we’re noticing a rise collection issues; On Google our ARN %and CRASH % is at about 3% on both which is high for us and above GP thresholds for “good” compliance. So to that end I’m attaching samples (remove the “.txt” extension to open in Excel ) of these in the hopes that you’ll take a look and give us some advise / ideas. Not asking for a miracle, just a little love

If you’d like more direct access on GP crash reports, ask and we’ll be happy to share it all so you can look directly. As always, we love you Corona. Can you help?

That’s it. Let us know you got this/whatever you need. We’re also going to look at Apple next, that too can be shared (once we figure out how…lol)

Alex

Is there any correlation to a particular version of Corona used to build your releases?

Are there in-common plugins that may be in use?

Rob

Hi Rob,

The corona version we used was 2018.3197 for the most part. As for the plugins, we too many lol… but:

[“plugin.CoronaSplashControl”]

[“plugin.chartboost”]

[“plugin.unityads”]

[“plugin.revmob”]

Notably however these are new to us:

[“plugin.applovin.paid”]

[“plugin.fbAudienceNetwork.paid”]

[“plugin.iap_badger”]

[“plugin.firebaseAnalytics”]

We’ve see errors with but those are “direct” and obvious

[“plugin.inMobi”] – will post about this shortly

[“plugin.revmob”] – have already posted 2 days ago

And finally, we see some complaints about vungle going from v4 to 5 but don’t see errors directly to these either

[“plugin.vungle”]

Honestly I can’t tell the source issue. Our offer to provide someone on your team with direct access to Google crashes remains if you’d like.

What else can I give to help?

Alex

I’ve shared this with Engineering.

Rob

Any updates on this?

Me too! crashes jumped some 500% since moving to SDK 5.  Send your reports to tech-support@vungle.com and explain what you are seeing.  They need more than just me hassling them over their plugin.  SDK 4 was MUCH more stable than SDK 5.

I see a lot of this in my logs

java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'void android.app.Activity.runOnUiThread(java.lang.Runnable)' on a null object reference Java Stack Trace: plugin.vungle.LuaLoader.init(LuaLoader.java:176) plugin.vungle.LuaLoader$InitWrapper.invoke(LuaLoader.java:132) com.ansca.corona.JavaToNativeShim.nativeRender(Native Method) com.ansca.corona.JavaToNativeShim.render(JavaToNativeShim.java:182) com.ansca.corona.Controller.updateRuntimeState(Controller.java:347) com.ansca.corona.graphics.opengl.CoronaGLSurfaceView$CoronaRenderer.onDrawFrame(CoronaGLSurfaceView.java:425) com.ansca.corona.graphics.opengl.GLSurfaceView$GLThread.guardedRun(GLSurfaceView.java:1623) com.ansca.corona.graphics.opengl.GLSurfaceView$GLThread.run(GLSurfaceView.java:1378)

Ok guys, we’ve provided a much more detailed break down of these errors here. Please consider this post resolved and if possible let’s move the conversation here:
