Audio spectrum / volume analyzing

I’d like to create an app that displays pulsating, animated graphics that are influenced by the music that is currently playing (either played from iOS built-in player or by the app itself). To do so we’d need some method to detect the spectrum or at least the current volume of the music played.

We could create audio-sensitive apps that react to the currently playing music (graphical spectrum analyzers, volume- or beat-driven animations etc.)

Is there such a feature planned? I know you can do so with the microphone input but this is pretty useless since we’d need some method to get the spectrum or current volume peak of the music that is currently played on the device (not disturbed by any microphone input).

I am searching for the same feature.
Is there a solution yet? [import]uid: 7190 topic_id: 29711 reply_id: 130172[/import]
