Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi

Hi,
I did not know how else to attract the attention of other fellow Australians that are involved in development using CoronaSDK.

I have gathered quite a little bit of Interest from fellow developers in Australia to be able to hold an official Australian Corona Developers Conference in Australia. The main highlight for the event will be Carlos apart from other things.

It will be an event where you can network with other developers that use Corona, share ideas, tips and learn something cool. At this stage what I have is only some interest, if you think such an event will be of benefit to you, please register your interest with me on dev[at]oz-apps[dot]com for now, please indicate the following details

  1. Your Name
  2. Email ID -> so that we can contact you officially
  3. Location -> where are you coming from (to enable us to ascertain the location)
  4. Preferred Venue -> Sydney

Details
VENUE : TBA
DATE : 11th July to 13th July (1 - 3 day event)
PRICE : Shall be announced soon, based on numbers

This shall be a wonderful opportunity to learn from the best, there will be presentations by Ansca, and other developers who shall talk about their experiences and techniques. Plus there will be competitions and you can get your code if you are wanting fixes and consulting from the experts in Corona.

Please send in your emails to enable this to be a success.

cheers,

Definitely would like to see a Corona Dev Day in Oz. [import]uid: 27380 topic_id: 7503 reply_id: 26721[/import]

How late do you expect one would be able to RSVP? As it stands it seems unlikely I’ll have the funds to attend, Sydney or not, but if I have a vague idea of how long before one would have to decide for sure/pay, then I might be able to plan some extra work or the like.

This is a truly wonderful idea

It seems that Ansca has different priorities and there are not many takers as yet, so this might not go through as planned initially. Maybe we can look at things once we have more takers. [import]uid: 3826 topic_id: 7503 reply_id: 33323[/import]

That’s very sad to hear; as nervous as I was about venturing out of my cave I felt very positive about the whole thing.

I really hope in the future it’s something that can happen - as an Australian I sometimes feel left out with all these big meet ups in the US! [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 7503 reply_id: 33381[/import]
