What the hell!! Just added a new app id to iTunes connect and when I clicked the price tier1 thing, i noticed that the Australian market only gives 63c to the developer! What the hell!!! Where do they get off doing crap like this! It’s always been 70% to the developer! So pissed at Apple right now, more interested in squeezing the extra pennies out of the system than in supporting developers!
As our team live in australia, most of our initial word of mouth/Facebook friends etc, marketing is gonna be here, so this is a real pain in the arse for us especially, but for those of you located elsewhere, just so you know, Australia is very IOS, so you may have noticed that a lot of your sales come from here, which means that this is a kick in the teeth to you too.
Hopefully Corona’s marketing tools will help us compensate for this by getting the word out a little further afield, but this is still really annoying.
Is there nothing we as developers can do to protect ourselves from this kind of ‘we’re-bigger-than-you-so-we-can-do-what-we-want’ action?
If someone could explain the reason for the drop, I’d appreciate it, other than that, rant over. [import]uid: 68278 topic_id: 27480 reply_id: 327480[/import]
