As I’m quickly learning Lua and its nuances, I’m also trying to get accustomed to using Corona as fluid as possible. Of course, everyone learns things in a different way, so I want to make sure I’m doing it correctly and/or efficiently, and if there is a better method in the future.
Starting with the basics…
To launch Corona, I always open up the Corona Terminal app, as it also launches the Simulator. If I open up the Simulator, the Terminal does not open. I just realized there is a “simulator” alias with a pretty plain icon that opens both.
If the Simulator crashes, the Terminal remains open. Launching just the Simulator doesn’t sync up with the already-open Terminal app, so I have to close both and reopen from the Terminal app or the “simulator” alias.
I launch Xcode only for its Organizer app. Is there a way to access this by itself so as to not load the entire platform? I use the Organizer app to drag my compiled app to the device’s icon in the Organizer GUI so it can install the app as needed. Is there a way to automate this process, say with Automator or some Applescript, or a future version of Corona? As soon as the build is done, have it automatically transfer to the device?
Thanks in advance, and thank you to everyone here at the forums making it fun, interesting, and informative. [import]uid: 6084 topic_id: 6234 reply_id: 306234[/import]
