Back to Starter version.

Hello everyone,

I would have a problem on the license. I find myself with the Starter version. Obviously I had done previously, the upgrade to the PRO version. The problem arises because having many versions of Corona SDK, I decided to delete the oldest. Unfortunately in doing so I find myself with the Starter version. I also tried to delete all versions of Corona SDK and I had to install the latest, but nothing. I also tried to remove the authorization from my Mac, but not removed. Then I wondered how to solve this problem.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hi @montipayton,

There is no longer any difference between “Starter” and “Pro”. Did you do a “Deauthorize and Quit” from the Simulator? Which OS are you using, Windows or OS X?

Thanks,

Brent

Hi Brent,

I know that now the Starter and Pro are together, but my question arises from any use of a premium graphics.

In fact this problem I had not until I decided to delete old versions of Corona SDK. From there he began to get out this message, and letting me know that I was back to the Starter version.

I tried to deauthorize the Mac believing that could solve the problem, but did not work the Deauthorize.

For Deauthorize did: In the menu bar, Corona Simulator -> Preferences -> Deauthorize and Quit. Enter password and did not, literally, nothing.

so I ask how to solve my problem that relates to why I can not use the premium items requiring at least the Pro version so that I think still Starter.

My operating system is OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite and Corona SDK 2015.2638

Brent, thank you for your attention.

Hi @montipayton,

Are you familiar and comfortable with using the Terminal to execute various system commands? If so, please follow these steps:

  1. Quit the Simulator.

  2. Run these commands in this order:

defaults delete com.coronalabs.Corona_Simulator defaults delete defaults delete com.anscamobile.Corona_Simulator

    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.coronalabs.* ~/Library/Preferences/com.anscamobile.*

    rm /Library/Preferences/com.coronalabs.* /Library/Preferences/com.anscamobile.*

  3. Restart your computer.

  4. Open the Simulator. If you are not asked to login, then something failed in the above commands (i.e. you didn’t type something exactly right).

Hi Brent,

I performed what you have indicated, and it worked. Now it not shows me more like Starter version but as Corona SDK. The error concerns regarding the use of premium graphics does not go out.

All resolved. I thank you for the help you have given me, thank you very much.
