Sunday/Monday the CPM server was down (all my sites were down, all email, etc.) and that brought to light a bug in the free version of CPM – when it would check for a new ad every few minutes it would “beach ball” until the connection error’d out (30 seconds, typically).
CPM was designed to work fine even if I get hit by a bus and the server goes dark forever – but this outage highlighted the fact that while the design may be good, the implementation was flawed.
I’ll be working on that bug for the next release so that won’t be a worry in the future.
At this point the new server is in place and it appears the DNS configuration issue has been solved, so hopefully everything’s back to normal.
