Best Ad Network Revmob vs Chartboost vs Admob.

Hello,

I just can’t figure out which ad network is the best and pays the highest eCPM. I have no idea which one to use between Revmob , Chartboost and Admob because this is my first app.

If chartboost is good…then how to implement it on Corona SDK not enterprise.l couldn’t find any plugin for corona sdk.

And also tell about your experiences and stats with different ad networks.

Thank you

Platform matters, putting more effort getting installs in iOS is more rewarding than Android (also less devices to worry about). Then you are looking at countries. English speaking countries like the US pays better in when measured in terms of RPM - all year round. But these are also very competitive markets.

Then you start comparing ad networks. Don’t get too excited when you see networks like Applovin paying well for both iOS and Android. If your resources are limited, doing well in one platform is better than struggling in two.

Ben.

So what’s the best ad network in your opinion… ? What do you use…? Who wins the battle after all these tests?

Hi again,

I am currently using Admob and Revmob. Personally, I am moving out of Revmob, and giving Fuse a try.

Ben.

Is revmob that bad??

Hi,

Of course, not all ad networks are made equal. I can only make comparisons with networks I use, and using eCPM as a benchmark.

I also see a lot of revmob ads using generic messages, “I have a gift for you” or “Download this free app today” (no knowing what the app actually is).

So basic worldwide figures I can share (personal):

  1. Admob - eCPM $2.98, CTR 3.89%

  2. Revmob - eCPM $1.01, CTR 28.69%

My apps are made for families, so i think Admob is a good choice as you get a mix of consumer and game ads. If you use chartboost, you only see game ads, because that’s what the ad network designed for.

Financials aside, complex SDKs are also prone to issues. For example, when iOS 8 was launched last year, all my apps updated with Admob plugin V2 crashed whenever ad calls were made - happening mostly on iPhones. Since then, I get anxious whenever a new iOS version is launched.
