Best up-to-date real time multiplayer solution?

Hey guys.

I’ve done lots of googling, but I can’t seem to find a recent post on this.

I’m looking for recommendations for real time multiplayer solutions for iOS and android.

I’ve got a noobhub server running, but I’d prefer to not have to manually do match making.

Thanks a lot!

I think both GameSparks and PlayFab has some form of matchmaking, but you may still need noobhub for the actual communications. GPGS should support realtime and perhaps one of the two community plugins supports realtime for GameCenter for iOS.

Thanks Rob  :)

Hi Roballison182 (And Rob, fancy seeing you here! :))

Sorry for the delay in getting to your post. I hope you’ve had a chance to have a look at GameSparks, if not, GameSparks is free to evaluate and prototype before you make your decision!

As well as that we have great Real-Time services and some tutorials on them that you may find useful - https://docs.gamesparks.com/tutorials/real-time-services/

If you have any questions about our Real-Time Multiplayer, or any other aspect of GameSparks, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our support team via - https://support.gamesparks.net/support/home We’ll be happy to help in any way we can!

Best of luck with your project!

Clare

Hey,

What back end service did you end up using? I am also looking for the best real-time multiplayer solution and I was looking at the following:

AppWarp: http://appwarp.shephertz.com/game-development-center/corona-game-developers-home/

PlayFab: https://api.playfab.com/docs/getting-started/corona-getting-started-guide

And the GameSpark Corona tutorial that was shared in this thread too.

I would love to hear your advice/experiences if you used any of these.

Thanks.
