Beta 3: odd behaviour with movie clips stop and play and setSpeed

As detailed on this thread

The setSpeed and play() and stop() when used in conjunction worked perfectly in beta 2 and beta 1, but now in beta 3, same code compiles and makes the animation speed up over time until its lightning fast and looks on crack. [import]uid: 6317 topic_id: 1033 reply_id: 301033[/import]

This is part of bug #198, which occurs when trying to remove a table event listener from a function event, or vice-versa. Both movieclip library and timer.performWithDelay use table listeners, which is why it tends to come up especially in those cases.

We’ve located the problem in the code and we’re implementing the fix. [import]uid: 3007 topic_id: 1033 reply_id: 2535[/import]

thanks for the reply, any idea when a bug fix release might come out? its hard to move forward with programming when stuff doesnt work right, hard to tell if its a bug in my code or in the compiler. thanks! [import]uid: 6317 topic_id: 1033 reply_id: 2536[/import]

Do you have a copy of beta 2? That should work until it times out on the 29th, and doesn’t have this bug – email beta@anscamobile.com if you need it and don’t already have it.

(We’re fixing the problem, but beta 2 should let you keep working immediately.) [import]uid: 3007 topic_id: 1033 reply_id: 2539[/import]
