Beta drops docs ?

Is there any documentation for beta drops ?
I had a good look around but can’t find anything. Are they included and mixed-up with the standard web documentation ?

I’m not really interested in using the daily builds myself, but I see release notes on the download page. If you expect documentation beyond that, you really shouldn’t be rushing to snag the latest builds. There’s a reason daily builds are separate from the stable version. Uhmm… what’s the use of daily builds if you can’t test them ?
I can see it’s useful for testing bug fixes, although I believe we still have no access to the bugs database… so, cannot check for fixes either.

Including a readme with new functions prototypes and notes would be enough… I don’t expect HTML docs from betas. [import]uid: 5750 topic_id: 6475 reply_id: 22397[/import]

I just said the release notes are on the download page. They’re probably in the download package too. [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 6475 reply_id: 22400[/import]

Oh… Hmmm… Lets see… How many times have I said daily builds are a work in progress. Docs, release notes, etc are on their way.

As for the bug base. It is on its way. Actually, the bug base is available now, but as with anything, it is going to rolled gradually. Just like we did with the daily builds. Then slowly but surely, we get them both to a level we are all going to be happy.

Ah, ok, I see. “Work in progress” meaning “we’re still testing the thing”.

I thought it was on-air already.

So we should expect documentation along with each drop, as soon as the system is ready, right ?

ok, back of the line !

suspending all your daily build privileges until we get the docs up just for you ok.

“Daily builds are a work in progress.” Right on the build page !

Doh! :))
Yeah, I saw the message, big and clear! I just imagined… ahh, forget it…

Fancy a donut ? “Ah, donuts, is there anything they can’t do ?” :)) [import]uid: 5750 topic_id: 6475 reply_id: 22469[/import]

I was going to ask a similar question on the lines of What’s the point of a daily build if we have no idea of what’s in it. When I saw the inclusion of Release Notes. Could we have a like a single page of Changes/Revision History than release notes for the build.

There could be an issue that is resolved with an older release and subsequently affecting another and that is then fixed in another release. If I have a look at the release notes of the latest, I have no idea if the issue that was fixed two versions ago were fixed or not.

I might not have to download every build since I might not require the fix for in-app purchase but might want a fix for bitmap masking, so I could wait a few builds before I get the fix for what I require.

I am sure that though this process of what to fix next might be democratic within the Ansca Scrum team, would you want us Chickens to cluck a bit about it, while the Piggy team fixes the issues?

Cheers,
