Better Performance with Build 2012.840

I’m building a top down game with Corona using Lime to integrate with the Tiled Map editor. I’ve noticed that in the latest daily builds, and the latest Stable build, I’m getting about 13 fps when running my game on an iPad. However, if I go back to build 2012.840 ( the previous stable build I believe ) I easily get 30 fps and everything runs smoothly.

Any ideas why this is happening? Is this a known issue that will be fixed in the new builds as we move forward?

They switched on automatic off screen culling just after 840. So maybe that could be the issue. I think remember seeing a way of switching it off too.
