Beware Corona payment cookies

Be very careful when buying a Corona licence, as they double charged my credit card. I added a licence, decided not to buy. Then I came back later and added again. When it got to the payment stage I noticed there were two licences in my cart, I removed one, and the receipt came through fine for payment for one licence.

Checking my card statement I have been charged twice, and my account now shows two licences. So the moral is, their e-commerce software is suspect so make sure you clear your cookies and start fresh before buying a licence.

We very rarely see any issues like this - and usually any double charges (especially if they are separate transactions) are because our payment processor (Chase Paymentech) initially flags the transaction as suspicious and then lets it through - we have filed a bug report on this.

In any case, I’ll look up your account and will get back to you…
