Bizarre Masking Issue

If I mask an image, rotate that image, and remove the mask, if I add the mask back to the image the mask placement is completely wonky (symptom: the image disappears). Doesn’t matter if the image has been rotated back to 0, either. If I rotate the mask, however, to 360, it pops back where it should be and stays correct. Since my images are circles, I can actually rotate the mask to any n since they’re symmetric. But they can’t be zero.

I’m trying to root out a persistent crash in my app that is intermittent and nondeterministic. The only thing remotely exotic going on is frequent mask manipulation. [import]uid: 44647 topic_id: 24233 reply_id: 324233[/import]

Hey Toby,

Can you file a bug report with a test case we can run for this, please?

We are aware of some masking issues and we’re working on them but I am not sure if this specific issue has a report filed for it so it would be a big help.

bug report filed. Turns out you don’t even have to rotate the object for this to happen, you only need to toggle a mask on and off.

Edit: Got Case #13340, not that there’s any obvious way to actually follow up and check the status of it. Submitting bugs seems to black hole them, and no search tool known to me is able to find them in the FogBugz site. [import]uid: 44647 topic_id: 24233 reply_id: 98006[/import]

I’m not sure how searching fogbugz works on a user end I am afraid (I’ve only logged in from this account.)

You can see in daily build notes mention of case numbers address however and when your case is updated you will actually get an email from us.

You can also respond to the email you received when you filed the bug report if you wish to update the case yourself with more details, info, etc.
