Black Screen when opening Corona Simulator?

Hello everyone. I just installed Corona SDK to my PC and i noticed something weird everytime i open Corona Simulator. The screen is always black. In the Welcome screen, in the example apps, etc. How do i fix this?

Can you please provide more details? Which version of the Simulator? Which OS you’re running on? How you’re opening the sample apps? This will help us diagnose what’s occurring.

Well, i downloaded the most recent version,  I’m running it on Windows 7, And I open the sample apps by clicking the “Open app” menu, then clicking an example app.

Hi @shadowa11,

Can you open a sample app from the “Welcome to Corona” window, under “Sample Apps”? Once there, navigate to a particular sample folder by drilling down until you see the project files, including (most importantly) a “main.lua” file. This should then open in the Corona Simulator.

As i mentioned in my first post, When opening Corona, even the welcome screen is completly black. I think i clicked on something while it was a black screen and it brought me to the site.

Hi @shadowa11,

This could be an issue that requires an OpenGL driver update. Can you please try to make sure your graphics card/chip is updated with the latest OpenGL drivers?
