I thought I read somewhere (from Apple itself is my recollection) that Apple would reject apps if they were just another version of the same app. I believed they referred to customer confusion over similar apps and titles. I read this to mean that I was not welcome/allowed to place a free/ad-supported version and a paid/ad-free version of my app in the Appstore. But a lot of recent posts here are still advocating just that.
So what’s the deal? Is this not Apple’s position. Or are they just not enforcing it or doing so sporadically? I’d love to release both versions, but I don’t want to risk either (or both) being rejected, as I really don’t know yet which way produces more revenue (paid vs ads).
