Hi! We (A Small Game) are releasing a new game for iOS and Android in a couple of weeks, BotHeads.
This is the first new game we release since Hanger World was first released two years ago. It was really fun to do this one and we could reuse lots of effects and stuff developed for our other games. We’re planning to release source code for some of it to give something back to the Corona community. I’m thinking the glowing trails, camerashake, confetti rain etc… So if you see something you would like explained let me know!
The game looks like this:

Looks very good, may I ask about the method you used for designing the levels, did you use a 3rd party tool?
Thank you! Corona worked really well for this game.
Richard (who made the game together with me) also released the music on soundcloud

Great! We’ll fill it out once it goes live on the AppStore (should be 6th of july)
Thanks! I’ll do a separate post about them along with some code.
We use Inkscape for the levels and export as SVG files - and parse in Lua.
Here’s an image of a level in Inkscape,
Smaller red rectangles are “sparks” that you collect. The other rectangles represent different object types - propellers, boxes, spikeballs etc.
A bit like “Sonic meets Super Meat Boy”
Thanks!
The game is out now and it’s featured on the App Store in “new games we love” in a bunch of countries.
PocketGamer scored it 8/10 in a review B)

To celebrate we made this poster
Congrats on getting App Store in “new games we love” achievement. Great idea; I really like the propellers and pinball-bumpers … fun stuff.
